Cruising around Gjilan, Kosovo

Dear travel diary;

Today I'm cruising around the eastern city of Gjilan, Kosovo.  After a short walk around, I found a few of my local friends, hard at work tending to the gardens!  The city is full of gardens, fountains and statues.  I even had some coffee with the locals.

What nice little city.

New Years in Kosovo

Today it's New Years day in Pristina, Kosovo.  Last night the city rang in the new year with style and this morning, the city is a little hung over.  The city streets are quiet day.

Christmas dinner in Kosovo

Dear travel diary;

Today it's Christmas and I'm having a great dinner in Pristina, Kosovo with the UN soldiers.  Pristina is the capital city of Kosovo and with the help of the UN, it's being rebuilt.

It is an interesting mix of new world technology and old world charm.  Only here can you see a horse and buggy pass you on the street.

A walk around Prizren, Kosovo

Dear travel diary;

Today I've taken a walk around historic Prizren, Kosovo.  A beautiful and small village located on the slopes of the Sar Mountains in the southern part of Kosovo.
