Lyon, France

Dear travel diary;

Today I find myself climbing the endless stairs to the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière on the hill.  This church was built between 1872 and 1884 on top of the highest hill in the city.  Directly next to the church is the Tour métallique de Fourvière.  The tower is a scaled model and trial of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Although it's a long journey to the top of the hill, the view is well worth it!

Sincerely Nestor the Gnome.
